We go March Break!

So the boys are off for their week of indulgence at Nana and Grandpa's house. "We go March BREAK!" as Rhett likes to yell to anyone who will listen. A few updates of note:

Rhett can read the word "Danger." At 2 and a half. We don't know how or why, but I'm sure all will be revealed in time. I wonder if it is related to his call to 911 a year ago.

Nate has discovered word finds. "Discovered," as in leaps out of bed in the morning to start doing them. He says he helps his bus driver do them while they wait for the rest of the kids. This is doing amazing things for his vocabulary, even if it is the "Garfield" edition. You never know how soon the world "hoagie" may come into your life.

Nate finished his swimming lessons yesterday. He beat all the "kid" levels in one try, so they are moving him into the colored badges for next session. The instructor said he is very confident, but not stupidly fearless. I hope he transitions these characteristics into all other risky sports.

LAST WEEK SYNOPSIS:
Rhett's hand surgery is over. Yay!
Rhett came down with the flu. Boo.
Rhett was feeling better. Yay!
Rhett stayed home again with the flu. Boo.
Rhett was feeling better! Yay!
Kevin came down with the flu. Boo.
Everyone is feeling better, and the kids can go on March BREAK... yay!

Fun Rhett moment, in the public washroom at CHEO:
"Mommy, I very proud of you! You used the potty, you didn't go in your pants!"

Cool Nate moment:
When he got up in the morning after staying in Petawawa, I saw Nate get out of bed, pause, go back and pet the cat on the bed, and kiss it on the head, before running up to go see if his cousins were up yet. Random kindness... too cool.

Well, no updates for a while as the boys are away and the parents will play.
